The permitting process for the South Seattle Cottage is well on it's way. After two site visits and some final plan adjustments, made with M&V, we were ready to submit our permit application. Before we uploaded our permit to Seattle's Planning and Development online portal we met with a few experts to ask some questions about land use. Happily we were good to go and now we're waiting for our intake date.

The photo to the right is from our first site visit at our 240 sqft South Seattle Cottage. Although it's not much to look at right now, owners M&V have big dreams for this this little outbuilding. It was great to be able  meet M&V and get a first look at the site. Our preliminary visit brought some concerns to light such as the possibility of flooding and sewer availability. It also allowed us to confirm the feasibility of a customized sicissor trusses. Vaulted ceiling make a world of difference this small of a space.
